Individually Designed Tutoring Programs

 

 

  • Reading
    • Basic skills are taught, practiced and mastered. Spelling is used to reinforce reading when appropriate. Encoding and Decoding, Reading Comprehension, Speed Reading.
  • Math
    • Basic skills all the way through Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II and III, Pre Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics and Physics. Regular and Honors Levels.
  • Writing
    • Spelling, grammar, sentence and paragraph construction are taught for application to the writing of stories and reports.
  • Study Skills
    • Reading methods are taught to improve the way students study; note taking, time management, reading strategies, special vocabulary, etc.
  • Science
    • Biology, Chemistry at all levels, Earth Science.
  • Foreign Languages
    • Japanese, Spanish, French, English as a Second Language are taught by qualified professionals.
  • ACT or SAT Test Preparation
    • In all their areas including the all new writing section.

    • Specialized tutoring to meet the learning needs of the Learning Disabled or Dyslexic individual using the Orton Gillingham methods and other multi-sensory approaches.
  • ADD / ADHD
    • Specialized tutoring is available to meet the needs of individuals with ADD or ADHD
  • Adult Literacy
    • Use of specific learning programs to teach adult learners
